While the pharmaceutical industry continues to come up empty handed for effective drugs in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease, Tech companies are providing sources of help for patients, their families, and their caregivers.

Digital tools, such as the HiLois app, robotic pets, and virtual reality products are playing a role in helping everyone involved to cope with this awful disease. 

According to Casey Ross at StatNews.com, “The solution is not simply developing tools to manage patient symptoms, but to deliver better support to family caregivers who are collectively spending more than $500 billion annually to care for elderly relatives.”
