Developers at the University of Cincinnati are developing an Apple software “app” designed to support people in retirement, extended care facilities or anyone isolated from their families. HiLois creates a private, individualized social network for someone physically separate from the families to keep them engaged, stimulated and connected. It’s simple to use:
The beta test is to evaluate an early version of the software that may evolve into a tool to help millions of people.
The developers are looking for 40-50 volunteers from multiple locations to test the software and provide feedback. If you subscribe and are selected, you will earn a free lifetime subscription to HiLois*
If you wish to join an existing Circle, that means someone told you about HiLois and gave you a special Invite PIN that gives you access to their Circle.
If you wish to create a new Circle, then you will automatically become the Administrator of the new Circle. This gives you the ability to invite others to your Circle. It also allows you to remotely control key settigns on the remote Tablet that the VIP uses.
The VIP is the person at the center of the Circle that has a Tablet device and can view pictures from Circle members in the photo frame portion of the HiLois app.
Each member of a HiLois Circle has a role within the Circle. There are three roles available: VIP, Administrator, and User.
Because this is Beta program, we need to know which device platform (Apple or Android) to register you on.
What is a VIP? The VIP is the person at the center of the Circle that has a Tablet device and can view pictures from Circle members in the photo frame portion of the HiLois app.
